A bit about me and CoinBased…
Hey, I’m Lois (AKA @Cryptogirl_UK) - nice to meet you! I’m the creator and founder of CoinBased.
I’ve been investing and trading cryptocurrencies since 2016, am a mum of three and a business owner.
My personal journey through crypto has been long but incredible; I first started investing in 2016. At that time cryptocurrencies was still fairly underground and certainly not mainstream as it is today; buying Bitcoin was pretty tricky - there were hardly any apps or sites dedicated to buying and selling - Binance didn’t even exist! Now almost every person in the world has heard of crypto and buying it is as easy as downloading an app. Sports arenas, teams and even race cars are sponsored by projects and you cant go through London underground without seeing several adverts on buying crypto.
However the information available is vast, and there are now hundreds of not thousands of apps, groups and schemes that promise to make you money - many of which are illegal or scams. Who can you trust?
That is where CoinBased comes in. As well as my own successful twitter account, I have written newsletters and served in admin roles in multiple paid groups, which I still do (voluntarily). I am members of countless discords, crypto clubs and have made hundreds of friends. But the best group I am in? My private telegram group - and pretty much everyone in there says the same.
These are people I have met over the years in various groups, twitter etc that I joined together as a private group around a year ago to share our knowledge, have fun and get support. These people are my friends, family and are normal, every day people from all over the world who share my passion -and guess what else? I know all their names, where they are from and in some cases what they look like. I call them, we plan meets and we have become friends. We are real people with real experience and skill in all areas of crypto.
We have shared our own individual knowledge and have become stronger as a group. Some of us are into NFTs, others microcaps, some of us like investing in DAOs and others day trading. Some of us have normal jobs, others do this full time. Some of us have been or are employed in crypto projects, some of us create our own NFTs. Some of us are influencers on CT and some are in it for the tech…..
Our combined knowledge and experience is unrivalled and not only our own, but because of the various groups we are in and the contacts we have made means we can continue to funnel only the best and most relevant information into our informative and amazing group. But most of all we like to have fun, support one anther and make friends - my favourite part of our group is our “Only up Friday” where we share drinks, laughter and GIFs online as if we were all in the same room. Crypto is a volatile rollercoaster ride and support and someone to call upon, or hang out with is the best thing you can have.
So in 2022 we are opening the group up and I would recommend you at least give us a try. Opening up to more members will help the group to become stronger and to help people who are new to cryptocurrencies learn about the industry and markets, CoinBased will give you the tools, information, resources & support to be confident, risk aware and ultimately successful as a trader or investor. The group will initially be capped at 300 members and will always be private.

Call groups are illegal. If you are looking for a group to tell you what to buy and when our group is not for you. Our membership is about sharing knowledge and experience in crypto in a welcoming and friendly community.
We also unusually have an amazing mix of both female and male members which makes for a lovely diverse environment. Many crypto groups are very male dominated with anonymous admins, which can be intimidating. We welcome everyone with open arms!
The fee is $25 a month for non-admins. This small fee is not only to compensate all admins for their time and content but also, it is important to us to ensure that people who join are serious about wanting to be part of our community. Some groups charge hundreds if not thousands a month - we don’t want to do this. Our small fee which equates to a couple of takeout coffees a week goes towards keeping our community alive, private and safe.
